The Holy Qur’an
- The Holy Qur'an is considered by Muslims as the literal word of God, revealed over a period of 23 years to Prophet Muhammad.
- The Quran contains 114 Surahs in total (one hundred and fourteen). 86 surahs are Makki and 28 surahs are madani. The surahs of the Quran are categorized into two types: Makki and Madani.
- The Qur'an contains over 6,666 verses, known as Ayaths.
- The Qur'an is regarded as a guide in all aspects of life and has a profound influence on Muslim societies.
- There are numerous miracles mentioned in the Qur'an, including the splitting of the moon, the parting of the sea, and others.
- The language of the Qur'an is classical Arabic, known for its eloquence and clarity. It is considered the finest piece of literature in the Arabic language.
- The Qur'an has been preserved in its original form since its revelation, a feat unmatched by any other religious text.
- It encourages knowledge-seeking and contemplation and is often quoted for its teachings on morality, justice, and the relationship between God and His creations.
